In addition to the GP’s that visit the Home when necessary, we have a regular pharmacist, district nurses and other health professionals that treat our residents should they need help.
Newgrove House is not a nursing home but the staff are perfectly competent to look after residents with simple ailments which could be treated in their own home. Our Team Leaders have received training in medication and are able to administer medications prescribed by doctors at the right time. Where possible the resident remains in the care of their own doctor and dentist, but if the resident has moved out of their own GP’s area, then other arrangements can be made with one of the local GP.
We encourage trial visits so that potential residents can experience life at Newgrove. Visitors are always welcome and can join residents for a meal or spend a couple of hours meeting other residents and experiencing activities.
